Big Droppins is Michael Dimin's first CD, as a leader, featuring Tristan Luke, Brian Melick, Konstantin Tsykun, Tim Reyes and the world class reed work of Special Guest Paul McCandless.

An award winning bassist and composer, Bruce Gertz is a professor at Berklee College of Music. American, acoustic and electric bassist and composer (born in Providence, Rhode Island) Bruce Gertz had piano lessons at age six for a brief period. He began playing guitar at age ten. By age fourteen Bruce moved to the bass guitar and started playing rock, blues and later jazz. His first bass guitar teacher was Anthony Evangelista who taught the basic fingerings and reading skills as well as simple chord outline.

"The Seeds of Happiness Part One", the music audio CD, contains 12 pieces composed for the electric bass and was recorded in its entirety on January 27, 2005 at Cello Studios in Hollywood, California. Every note that is heard on the record was played live. The principle tracks of thematic material were recorded as one whole performance and the subsequent background tracks were then overdubbed without the use of loops.
