CRACKING THE DETROIT CODE - COMPLETE COURSE
Cracking The Detroit Code is a unique, 13 lesson course , by Paul Wolfe, containing a detailed analysis of the stylistic devices pioneered by James Jamerson. Cracking The Detroit Code analyzes the bass lines created in the confines of the infamous Snakepit - Motown's legendary Studio A. These bass lines have been deconstructed and during this course you'll learn how to create bass lines from the ground up in this style in a highly detailed and thorough step-by-step system. Whether you like Motown style music or loathe it is irrelevant - the approach to bass lines that was developed in Studio A is just as applicable to other genres like rock, pop, neo-soul, country, 'smooth' jazz, jazz fusion, reggae and more. The course includes videos, pdfs, action plans, (Band In A Box) audio files and access to Paul himself for any specific questions you may have - to help get the most from the program. Comes with a full 30 day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not carry this title in stock - it is a digital download consisting of MP4 files (videos) , MP3 files (audios) and PDFs. Access to the content is emailed to you on a weekly basis, directly from the authors website.

JAMES JAMERSON BASS TRANSCRIPTIONS – EBOOK/PDF VERSION
Welcome to this collection of James Jamerson transcriptions. There’s also some bonus Motown transcriptions at the end of the book too - including the Bob Babbitt line on Band Of Gold and Stevie Wonder’s awesome keyboard bass line on Isn’t She Lovely.

Now Jamerson’s work has become widely appreciated thanks to Allan Slutsky’s groundbreaking book ‘Standing In The Shadow Of Motowns.’ And whilst that book presents around 50 or so transcriptions - either complete songs, or song fragments - that is barely scratching the surface of Jamerson’s prodigious output. So over the years I’ve been trying to fill in some of the massive holes that exist in the transcribing of the body of work that Jamerson left behind. Some of these transcriptions are relatively easy - and some are infernally difficult! One of the great things about Jamerson’s musical genius is that the study of even the simpler lines can often be rewarding in terms of getting further understanding of how Jamerson created these bass lines. The transcriptions themselves are a compilation of material that mostly appeared in my weekly subscription magazine First Bass And Beyond. This includes accurate note-for-note transcription, one written in standard notation and TAB, and the other in just standard notation. 242 pages altogether.
