ELECTRIC BASS
The Electric Bass book and audio CD features detailed transcriptions of the material John plays on his DCI video of the same name. In addition to each of the transcribed exercises is a transcription of Bach's Cello Suite No.1 in G major, and John's compostions 'Searching, Finding' and 'Kingston Blues'. Electric Bass focuses on three topics: 1) Technique (on four-string bass: scales/arpeggios, picking execises, hammer on/pulloff, etc.), 2) Time/Groove playing featuring Dave Weckl on the audio CD, and 3) Ethnic Grooves – inclkuding Latin, Brazilian, Reggae, and African styles.
