Wow Scott, you've done it again! There are lots of 'method' books out there, but Scott seems to do what others don't, and that is make the complex stuff simple to understand. This is by far the best material I've read (and played) regarding vertical harmony, and refining your soloing chops. I HIGHLY recommend this book to any aspiring bassist! 'Fretboard Arcanum' along with 'Fretboard Alchemy' have improved my playing and knowledge of harmony by leap years. The examples in 'Arcanum' start easy but by the end totally kick your butt! Thanks Scott!

Scott Hubbell has once again achieved the impossible with “Fretboard Arcanum”! From the very beginning of my musical career, I have studied numerious books and methods on 'vertical' soloing. While most teach scales and rudimentary note sequences which in the end, every soloist will basically have the same voice. “Fretboard Arcanum” breaks the mold and instructs you in a systemic method of developing ones own unique soloing voice by providing you with the esoteric knowledge of the greats!

Another fine release by Mr. Hubbell. This is an outstanding book! Will be required reading for all my students.
